Whatever their plans for him ,he is raising his stock weekly. This only benefits the Steelers.

Trubisky played incrementally better but he is still a low level starting QB. He is a losing QB because the offense will probably not score very many points with him at the helm. I believe Pickett is an overall better QB and the offense has more potential. If the team is losing with Trubisky, it would be better to groom Pickett. Since Tomlin seems completely committed to Trubisky, I think that is a bad decision and the season is doomed. I may give up on the team and lose interest.

He played well. Didnt get much help. DJ looking like a wasted signing... taking away balls from a more talented Pickens.

Really? DJ has been pretty damn good, I thought outside of that one handed catch, Pickens played a bad game. He had one sure drop and I thought the pass to him in the end zone should have been caught.

I guess you missed the deep ball down the sidelines that DJ dropped.

No i saw it, the the defender held his inside arm down but regardless, over the past three games he has made some really tough catches.

He dropped 2 passes last night. If you want to call him "Pretty damned good" so far.. that's fine by me.
The pass I referenced hit him in the hands. For 18 mill a year.. youd expect a top tier receiver to make that play.

KP comes in and plays well there's no going back.
    Then what if KP struggles??

That's the truth. Tomlin knows Kenny isn't ready now. Whether he will be good enough we he is remains to be seen. The way our offense is playing under Mitch there isn't much to lose.
We will see Pickett once we are say three games below .500 or have realistically have been eliminated from the playoffs. It's on Tomlin to right the ship. I say this as several spots could have a new starter by the season end.
The Steelers had a great draft in 2023. However better play calling / coaching is badly needed. Tomlin is hasn't won a playoff game in six years and counting. Nor has hired anyone good to his coaching staff. Think about that. Mike Tomlin says, " hell yeah we've got to make some changes. " We are waiting. But Khan and Weidl appear to have better management on the salary cap and focused on the right free agents and draft needs.

He teased us like last night like he teased Bears fans. Strung a few plays together and looked good, then reverted. Steelers were 1-9 on 3rd down, not all on Mitch, but just not gonna win games like this.

I now count 3 circus catches that have added greatly to his yardage total. Claypool and DJ in week 1 with one-handers, Pickens last night. This guy sprays the football downfield.
