This is the argument right here. Those of you who were banging the drum for Moore are cool with a guy who is adequate or maybe even good at his position. If you want to become dominant up front, then you need to have dominant linemen. Regardless of any continued progress, Moore was never going to be dominant. Let's also not forget he is a penalty machine. It doesn't matter how often he may or may not have been flagged in college, because he drew the 5th most penalties for a lineman in the league last year (Dotson had the 3rd most). That just adds to the room for improvement.
The Steelers now have a LT who projects to be a dominant force. He comes with elite athletic traits and plays with an elite mean streak. He almost certainly will not produce the number of penalties that Moore has. The 239 offensive linemen with fewer penalties than him last year speak to that probability.
Broderick Jones is a bonafide stud. Because he was the pick, the offensive line now has an opportunity to become a dominant force in the very near future.
