You can't be dismissive of Russell Wilson and say he isn't a factor. He's a top 5 QB in this game. Yes injuries are common but when you have injuries to above average players, it makes a difference. Watt, Tuitt..ok. But the rest of those guys are just "guys". Juju being out is addition by subtraction. Because all he was doing was taking targets away from DJ and Claypool..which is something we don't want. And Juju won't even be here next year.
One thing that is wrong with the offense.

I’m not going to downplay our wins. You guys don’t downplay our losses when we have injuries.
and if we just have so many “guys” it means Tomlin is really a great coach.Steelers 27

We have injuries too.
No sympathy.. football is a game where injuries are common.
Look at the teams who beat us because of OUR injuries?
Watt, Sutton, Tuitt, Aloulu, JuJu, Banner… all missed games we lost.
Denver was never as good as that 3-0 record showed when you looked at their opponents. Russell Wilson was struggling before the injury. Not trying to hear any excuses for our wins.
It's about trying to get a handle on how good the team is and how they might fare against good teams in the playoffs (or when fighting for the playoffs).
My guess is that it's probably hard to be competitive in today's NFL if you average less than 20 ppg.Comment

I don't think it's about sympathy.

I think we all know the way this team is built we are going to be competitive in most games.Steelers 27

Our defense is playing pretty well IMO (although I'd like to see more turnovers).
But it's really hard to keep good teams under 20 ppg consistently IMO.Comment

It was never about Sympathy. We are all trying to get a handle on exactly where our team is and our long term possibilities. Because it IS hard to be competitive long term if you average less than 20 ppg.Comment

The Cam gif reminds me of this:
Although he looks like that sometimes against opposing OLs too.Last edited by Northern_Blitz; 11-01-2021, 02:46 PM.Comment

What I noticed isn't that Ben now has a noodle arm. It's that Ben doesn't move well and he now doesn't throw well when he has to move in the pocket. Most of the time when Ben is inaccurate it's because the pass rush is forcing him to throw and move.Trolls are people too.Comment

its a long season. Football is physical so there will be more injuries.
I do not care who is injured on another team. We will have injuries too.
we were 1-3 and now we are 4-3 with a really good chance at 6-3.
Cincinnati just loss to the Jets who had a back up QB playing his first game. All we
can do is handle biz with the team that is in front of us each weekSteelers 27
