Look at the teams who beat us because of OUR injuries?

Watt, Sutton, Tuitt, Aloulu, JuJu, Banner… all missed games we lost.

Denver was never as good as that 3-0 record showed when you looked at their opponents. Russell Wilson was struggling before the injury. Not trying to hear any excuses for our wins.
You can't be dismissive of Russell Wilson and say he isn't a factor. He's a top 5 QB in this game. Yes injuries are common but when you have injuries to above average players, it makes a difference. Watt, Tuitt..ok. But the rest of those guys are just "guys". Juju being out is addition by subtraction. Because all he was doing was taking targets away from DJ and Claypool..which is something we don't want. And Juju won't even be here next year.

Why can’t I? Seattle was 2-3 with Wilson and injuries are simply part of the game.

I’m not going to downplay our wins. You guys don’t downplay our losses when we have injuries.

and if we just have so many “guys” it means Tomlin is really a great coach.

yeah, we only beat the Buffalo Bills on the road because of all the injuries they had.

        oh wait...

            I don't think it's about sympathy.

It's about trying to get a handle on how good the team is and how they might fare against good teams in the playoffs (or when fighting for the playoffs).

My guess is that it's probably hard to be competitive in today's NFL if you average less than 20 ppg.

its hard to be competitive if your defense sucks and you struggle to score 20 points.

I think we all know the way this team is built we are going to be competitive in most games.

That's certainly true. Being bad on both sides of the ball is a recipe for a high draft pick.

Our defense is playing pretty well IMO (although I'd like to see more turnovers).

But it's really hard to keep good teams under 20 ppg consistently IMO.

                  Thank you.

It was never about Sympathy. We are all trying to get a handle on exactly where our team is and our long term possibilities. Because it IS hard to be competitive long term if you average less than 20 ppg.

yeah, we can't continue to only score 15 ooints like we did yesterday and expect to beat good teams.

                      Let this sink in:

There are 16 teams in the NFL that avg less than 23 pts/gm...... ONLY ONE HAS A WINNING RECORD...Guess which team that is?

The one with these guys on the payroll?

The Cam gif reminds me of this:

Although he looks like that sometimes against opposing OLs too.

What I noticed isn't that Ben now has a noodle arm. It's that Ben doesn't move well and he now doesn't throw well when he has to move in the pocket. Most of the time when Ben is inaccurate it's because the pass rush is forcing him to throw and move.
                          Trolls are people too.

nah.. it was about beating teams with stiffs because they had injuries.

its a long season. Football is physical so there will be more injuries.

I do not care who is injured on another team. We will have injuries too.

we were 1-3 and now we are 4-3 with a really good chance at 6-3.

Cincinnati just loss to the Jets who had a back up QB playing his first game. All we
can do is handle biz with the team that is in front of us each week

That's because Ben is missing his wides long. Something he never did his whole career.
