I lost a bet about Najee gaining 1300 yards.
"Our head coach has failed to win a playoff game for seven years in a row. His game day strategy, culture of divas, in game decisions, clock management, player evaluation, hires, and affinity with sub par starters at RB, P, and OL are holding the Steelers back. That standard remains the standard"
I always thought it was silly, still do. Its extremely rare for a player to go from QB in college to TE in the NFL.
Matt Jones did it and I think that’s when every QB with a little size and a bad arm is rumored to be a good fit for TE. But why?
I def thought Tebow would be a good fullback but a TE? Not so much..
I’m hearing the Jags locker room is split on this. Meyer said Tebow could bring a “cultural jolt” to the locker room. Huh? What does that mean? Who the hell wants a 34 year old dude to come in trying to lead a team after being away for so long?
Meyer also tried to hire the Mizzou strength coach who was finally fired for being a racist POS. Just weird to try and immediately hire him and think it was a good idea. Feels like Meyer is still operating like its college and I wouldn’t be surprised if he fails like Saban

Sure, it's rare. It's also pretty rare for a college WR to convert to LT in the pros, but we had a guy do that. If they can do it successfully, all of a sudden it isn't so silly anymore.
Huh? Not sure what you're talking about. Until this current thing with Tebow, I can't remember any QB since Matt Jones who was rumored to be a good fit for TE.Originally Posted by feltdizz
I think, in his prime, he could have maybe played fullback and H-back/move TE.Originally Posted by feltdizz
If he plays well and makes the team, I think the locker room will be fine with him. Maybe Meyer thinks Tebow's competitiveness could be a good influence on the younger guys. If he doesn't play well, I highly doubt he makes the cut, no matter what he might bring to the locker room.Originally Posted by feltdizz
Hadn't the guy coached with Meyer in the past? I don't know that it's so weird that he would bring in a guy he had success with previously ... and I doubt Meyer knew about the racist stuff when he hired the a$$ -- I don't think he would've wanted that kind of media attention.Originally Posted by feltdizz
We will see. For better or worse, looks like he's going to do it his way.Originally Posted by feltdizz
Im tired of the " Tebow will bring a competitiveness to lockerroom" as if the guys in that lockerroom need Tim Tebow to show them how to compete.
Meyer definitely knew about the racist stuff. He was just fired in June 2020 and Meyer admitted he “vetted him extensively” and didn’t think it would be a problem.
It was an unnecessary media circus and I think Tebow could be the same thing.
All eyes are on them already with Lawrence and Meyer.. just seems weird to add Tebow to the team but maybe God has plans for them.
