From the 2010-2020 season, (A 10 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.

Dolphin fans in the 90ís held on to Don Shula for too long for what he did in the playoffs in the 70ís...
Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2020 ) holding on to Tomlin for too long for what he did in 2008, with Cowher's players & coaches.

But there is MORE data you are not looking at. Things like weight and height, that also factor in for blocking, areas where Green rates very low also count. Where's that data?

So if you add up short arms at 32.5" inches and under, a low weight where he is listed 305 and height where he is listed under 6 1 1/2, I BET YOU you will only find one to two NFL players, and I'd be curious to see where they rate on the chart.

There is such a thing as NFL minimum standards, and Green is very low in three areas.

PS. I bet whomever those armed Right Tackles ( 32.5 ) are are much stronger and heavier than Green is.
Reasonable arguments. It also implies focusing on other things, e.g. weight, height, etc. before looking at arm length. ( here's the link https://www.pff.com/news/does-arm-length-affect-ot-play)

btw, a similar analysis was done for WR 40 yd dash times that people love to quote; no correlation to performance on the field. The explanation there is that players invited to the combine generally all meet the minimum speed needed to compete in the NFL. Other factors then determine actual performance, e.g. scheme, route running, separation, hands, etc.

Speaking of scheme, it may just be that Green fits exactly what Canada was looking for scheme-wise and Humphrey did not. Nobody can say at this point. And if he is as inadequate as what you are saying, it should become clear pretty quickly in the AFCN.

Seems that we don’t/won’t know until we know more about Canada’s schemes.

There are two types of Rushes in the NFL. Bull or Speed. I think he can be beaten either way. Longer arms help with both types. Shorter arms do not. I also think Green would help the Steelers more IF if was blocking for Etienne, to use his best asset his speed, which is hard to show and easier to use as guard for outside running because enters have the burden of snapping the ball and traveling further for outside runs. Canada, probably would agree if he spoke out honestly as Etienne is the better outside running back.

The 40 yard dash is misunderstood. Not in the distance which it takes to cover it, but in the acceleration part of the time, Some guy are shot out of a gun, others take time to hit top speed, but once they do reach a higher mph. Routes matter a lot. So does height outside.
Plan to spend 75 million in cap space in 2022 ( most in the NFL ) and use the 2 comp picks ( 3rd and 5th ) for a killer 2022 draft. We will be back hopefully with better coaching.
