From the 2010-2020 season, (A 10 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.
Dolphin fans in the 90’s who wanted to hold on to Don Shula for what he did in the playoffs in the 70’s...
Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2020 ) holding on to Tomlin for what he did in 2008, with Cowher's players & coaches
If you are talking about wanting a specialist at LT, I agree 100%. This quote:does nothing for me. I don't want a guy who many believe "could" play LT in the NFL. If we are spending a first round pick on a LT I want a LT. At RT then the two can compete to start and we hope that Banner is fully recovered and able to play after sitting a year. Many believe he has the potential to play either position at the pro level.
One name that caught my eye of recent was OL Vera Tucker, I never paid attention to him since he was thought of being gone before 24.
But I started to read about him, he can play all along the OL, and even suggested Center.
If they draft him and he is start plug and play player, where would he compete? Banner? Chucks? BJ? Dotson? Decastro?
How crazy would it if he beats out Decastro ( or they move on from Decastro?)

Planet Steelers 2021 Mock Draft:
1.24 Najee Harris RB Alabama
2.55 Walker Little OT Stanford
Maybe true about the best left tackles being gone by 24, but if there is any year to draft a day one starter that late it's this year. If the team does end up waiting, I've looked at the guy you have in your mock as an intriguing prospect. Doubtful he is a day one starter, but may have the most upside of anyone. High School D lineman, moved to the other side of the ball and redshirted his first year, had to sit out a year to get his butt out of Michigan, was supposedly suffering from depression at the time, and finally a dominant season at a smaller school in his only season on the blind side. We often talk about the value of OL coaching and I think it is often overrated, but if he is ever going to earn his money it is with this guy. On paper this raw prospect has a chance to be anything from an all-pro LT to washed out of the league in two years.
