I had this in one of my posts under another topic. I'm asking the more knowledgeable posters on offense the the following:
Is Haskins a good fit for what we thing Matt Canada wants to do offensively?????
Would appreciate informed thoughts

From what i know about Haskins, even at his best, he isn't good without a "clean pocket". He can make all the throws, but his brain craps itself when he gets pressure and/or has to move.
If he can get his head right both on and off the field (which is a big challenge for a young guy) he could be solid. I feel like if he can hang around the league, he'll be one of those guys who is finally a good player once he gets to his upper 20's and matures...

I don't think the Steelers are "planning" or counting on anything with Haskins. At this point he is a lottery ticket. I want to see the contract length. My guess is a 2 year deal. That way we have a #2 QB in 2022 if we let MR walk after 2021.

I’m not sure he was amazing or Herbert was just really good.
I didn’t watch a lot of their games but they blew a lot of big leads. One game they didn’t pass at all in the 3rd quarter when Herbert was shredding them all first half.
Some of their run pass selections in crunch time were head scratching.
They didn’t play well once they had leads.
Tomlin’s coming back so what can you do?
