He'll get less help from the D if he still sucks next year.

It's going to be harder to get a push with the extra game 8 - 8 - 1!

No one wanted Ben gone when we were 11-0.
Put Rudolph in those first 11 and we probably go 6-5 and go on to not even make the playoffs.
Ben needs to stay as long as he wants.
    Update:
In the last decade, 25% of the league has won a super bowl(the Steelers aren't one of them) and now 50% have as many or more playoff wins as the Steelers.

With respect to our decline...I could make a compelling arguement of why we need Bud Dupree back next year..

The offensive decline was far greater than the defense.

I wont disagree.. just stating that a strong supporting cast will be far less likely if Ben is there next year. Ben is no longer good enough to justify the $$$

I think its more like 8-3 with Rudolph. I think Rudolph would complete more intermediate and deep passes than Ben this year.
Tomlinís coming back so what can you do?

I doubt Rudolph puts up 30 tds.

Throwing as much as we did? 30 TDs isnt exactly burning it up.. with our run/pass ratio
