    2021 cap hell for Pgh

    https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/20...-bleak-picture

Look at the free agents for Pgh after this season; obviously it will be impossible to sign them all, especially with a cut cap. We are looking at a blood letting.

    Heyward
    JuJu
    Dupree
    Big Al
    Fieler (That's 2 OTs)
    CB Hilton
    DL Alualu (2 DL)
    OL Banner
NT McCullers (I didn't say they'd all be hard to replace)
    DT Wormley
    S Dangerfield
CB Sutton (That seemed fast, it would be a shame if he shows he's good in 2020 but then is gone)
RB Conner (We'll see how much he plays in 2020)
WR Switz (should be easy to replace)
    QB Lynch

I see a good 10 players at risk to lose, and we will only sign back a few from that list. We could be in real trouble at OT, and if you suck at OT, your O sucks. Also in the mix is what to do with Ben's contract. Post 2020 is looking precarious. We could be looking at a 1980's type Steeler team.

How about we get through 2020 before we worry about 2021. According to some fear mongers we will all be dead by then anyway from Coronavirus

It's never as bad as it looks from our perspective a year out. The team always comes up with creative solutions to cap issues. I'm not going to worry about that bridge until we get near it. I just hope we have a full season this year.

We may not even have a 2020, so it makes even more sense to look ahead. I think we are looking at losing JuJu, Conner, Big Al, Alualu, Dupree, Fieler, Sutton, Hilton, Heyward....

I know. I'm not usually one to give upcoming FAs that much thought or worry. But this list is far deeper than we've seen in years. And if Ben retires, we are looking at a full blown rebuilding year, whether they admit it or not.
