Players to trade up for

I DO NOT WANT US TO TRADE UP!

with that said, I came across an article on steeler wire and it had a list of players Steelers should trade up for:

Swift, RB G
Murray, LB Oklahoma
Reagor, WR TCU
Love, QB
Thomas, OT Georgia
Gross- Matos, DL Pen
Winfeild, DB MIN

Now I am against trading up, and think this i a far fetched article.

But looking at this how would a LT like Thomas sure up the OL. Thomas-Feiler-Pouncey-DD-Chucks... trade AV?

This might be more realistic, how would Murray look next to Bush and in front of Fitz?

To play along, who else could you add to this list...
ďIím so tired of LeíVeon," DeCastro told reporters (h/t ESPN's Jeremy Fowler (https://twitter.com/JFowlerESPN/status/1038909446146203649)) after Sunday's game. "Iím so tired of it. Letís just worry about the guys in here. I know you guys have stories to write and what not. I love LeíVeon, but we gotta worry about the guys in here. Theyíre the only people that matter to me."

Understand this is to give something to chat about, but we don't have the draft capital for a meaningful trade up without completely gutting this draft

IMO trading up is an off season fantasy

No way I would trade AV. We have him at a good cap number plus he is a high character guy

I agree with this (about not trading up), but Iíll play just for the sake of discussion. I would consider only a moderate trade to move up no more than 10-12 positions, and my target would be Zach Baun if he were available at that 38-40 spot, as he would solve two positions of need at once-the Mark Barron ILB position a rotational guy behind Bud and TJ. Heíll play at least 60% of the snaps as a ďbackupĒ.

I'd also love to put Baun beside Bush.

I think we have a major hole after letting Barron go.

I can't see a trade up happening.
From the 2010-2019 season, (A 9 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.

WE WILL NOT WIN ANOTHER SUPER BOWL WITH MIKE TOMLIN AS OUR HEAD COACH. So why delay the inevitable?

Dolphin fans in the 90ís who wanted to hold on to Don Shula for what he did in the 70ís...

Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2020 ) holding on to Tomlin for what he did in 2008.

Agree with all of this.

I believe the other Georgia T Wilson would be more on our radar and he should be taken about end of round 2. A player we could trade back a few picks for perhaps get another 4th or 5th and nail down a really good right tackle. Feiler or Banner can kick inside and AV stays a Steeler imho.

Hmmm Baun, I would love for another ILB to match up with Bush and VW...

Like I said I would never trade up in this draft... we only have 6 picks and need depth everywhere, both sides of the ball.

About trading AV, I only mentioned it if we have a superb talent at LT. AV would be 8 M a 31 year old who would become a back up, who is in last year of contract... saves 5 M if cut ( not sure if it is already in the books)... that 5 Million can sign a good player! .... But then again this is all hypothetical, since we don't have a superb talent at LT.
