Still waiting for your list of Steeler types in this draft.
If you don't, it proves you don't anything about to he kids drafted and just act like you do after we select them.
In the last decade, 25% of the league has won a super bowl(the Steelers aren't one of them) and 25% have as many or more playoff wins as the Steelers.

When we passed on the Penn State corner Oruwariye I was not in a good way. He imho was a 3rd round talent and he went 5 picks later at 146 to Detroit. We all knew Burns was on the outs. Had Burns been picked in the late rounds he would have been cut 2 years ago.
Gentry I'm convinced would have been there 30 picks later and we had three 6th rounders last year so we could have waited. I'm not against Gentry just would have preferred the cornerback or trade back get an extra selection perhaps in this draft then take Gentry who would have still been on the board in the 6th.

Your probably right but hitting on corners late in drafts isn't Colbert's strengths as of late. Gentry might have been gotten later but I want to see what Gentry shows us in camp this year after more
then a year of prep/conditioning and technique.
From the 2010-2019 season, (A 9 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.
Dolphin fans in the 90ís who wanted to hold on to Don Shula for what he did in the 70ís...

Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2020 ) holding on to Tomlin for what he did in 2008.

Your on the money with Colbert's recent track record of mid round selections of corners. All the more reason why I wanted more then one bullet in the gun. And I'm rooting for Gentry as I'm sure we all are because we all knew with the position change to TE he'd need time to develop. He was a qb so to me that's a big plus knowing what coverage he's going up against. Sit vs zone continue through man. We'll see but at 6 8 he could be a nice red zone or short yardage target.

Yes... you and I are on the same page.

I was hoping the Steelers were going to draft slot WR Hunter Renfrow, he was always a favorite of mine during his playing days at Clemson.

and I agree, Gentry would have still been there in the 6th round if we had truly wanted him and his "speed down the seams".

you and I must not be "real Steelers fans" since we don't think Gentry was the greatest pick ever, Heath 2.0, a future All-Pro, blah blah blah...
