From the 2010-2019 season, (A 9 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.

Dolphin fans in the 90ís who wanted to hold on to Don Shula for what he did in the playoffs in the 70ís...
Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2020 ) holding on to Tomlin for what he did in 2008, with Cowher's players & coaches

It doesn't sound like there is much in the draft. The only FA l like is Henry and he has injury issues.
I think we need to wait untill next year.
In the last decade, 25% of the league has won a super bowl(the Steelers aren't one of them) and 25% have as many or more playoff wins as the Steelers.

They took Gentry last year in the 5th round. Clearly he was a project. But now he’s had a full season and will have a full camp as well to get stronger and be a better blocker. He should be a contributor in the offense this coming season. That had to be the plan because it doesn’t make sense to waste a 5th round pick on him if that weren’t the plan for this coming season.

Would Ben throw to a TE? Almost feels like he purposely ignores the position in the passing game.
Tomlinís coming back so what can you do?

Check out Gabriel Davis from UCF. Very similar WR. Good size and strength. Just always gets open and catches everything

Speaking of the TE position, Christian Scotland Williamson has been on the PS with an exemption for 2 full seasons, and they have kept him around. I'm not quite sure if they keep him around because his exemption means they don't have to account for the spot, or if they see something, but the guy is huge (6'9", 274), an athlete (rugby player), and supposedly a beast (again, rugby player).

Is it possible that in his third year he has figured out the transition to the NFL? After all, since they are keeping him around and he wasn't getting it, wouldn't they have looked into moving him to the Oline or D side of the ball?

    and now he won’t let
    anyone else wear Heaths number.

Just wondering if Ben doesn’t appreciate the position because it’s not Heath. Hard to fathom how he ignores the TE position when its been a nice security blanket

People called James a poor Heath but dude was pretty good when targeted for the most part.

Thadeus Moss could be an option.
Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.
