    Running the Ball

    ... is BACK.

    Just look at the 49ers.

Steelers need to get back to being able to run the ball. Not saying we have to do it to the extent the Niners, Titans or Ravens do, but we need to retool our offense so that we can have an effective ground game.

I agree; we need to get our running game going which means to upgrade our O-line in personnel and coaching.
From the 2010-2019 season, (A 9 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.

WE WILL NOT WIN ANOTHER SUPER BOWL WITH MIKE TOMLIN AS OUR HEAD COACH. So why delay the inevitable?

Dolphin fans in the 90ís who wanted to hold on to Don Shula for what he did in the 70ís...

Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2020 ) holding on to Tomlin for what he did in 2008.

    The pendulum is swinging

Defenses have gone small and fast to keep up with the passing game.

Now the running game is opened back up.

Key is being ahead of the curve and not chasing it....

Rooney said it’s one of their offseason priorities.

Teams in the league always run the ball. The ideal goal would be able to do both well and limit turnovers.

More than one philosophy can win in the NFL. What ever teams decide they need to stick to the plan and most importantly execute it well.

yeah, i personally like the idea of being able to run or pass well, tailor your offensive attack to what will work best vs. that week's opponent

The story is not over yet. You have a top 5 running offense against a top 5 passing offense in the SB. Let's see how this ends....

    $$

that's my take on it. well, even more so, You need to be able to pass the ball to win in today's game and pass it down the field.
running the ball is good and all but the 2 teams who were known for it are out. both teams have major questions in thew passing game with tannehill and jackson

in addition to that, its much easier to scheme a defense to stop a RB like an average defense in KC did today with henry.
Now try to go scheme and stop mahomes..... good luck

besides, who ever suggested that we don't need a running game? the offense performed the best when they had both as a threat when Bell was our RB.

the problem with the team now is do we have the personnel to do it. especially at RB. snell, samuels, conner (if healthy) are not scaring any defenses. they would be Ok in a rotation like san fran uses
