OT: Panthers LB Luke Kuechely Retires at 28

Was an awesome player in his prime. Maybe took one concussion too many?

    Too bad.

Too many concussions. Also wonder if he didn’t want to play for a college head coach and a new coaching staff.

He fell off a cliff this year and they also switched to a 3-4 last year. Dude was a monster and a joy to watch his first few seasons.

Watching Antonio Brown’s erratic behaviors of late would make me question how the game might effect my mental health as well.

Was going to say going out on top is always a good thing... didn't catch his decline this season.. that's tough.

Yep; the rest of your life is worth more.
From the 2010-2019 season, (A 9 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.

WE WILL NOT WIN ANOTHER SUPER BOWL WITH MIKE TOMLIN AS OUR HEAD COACH. So why delay the inevitable?

Dolphin fans in the 90ís who wanted to hold on to Don Shula for what he did in the 70ís...

Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2020 ) holding on to Tomlin for what he did in 2008.

One guy said “sometimes you leave the game but most times the game leaves you”

I watch the Panthers often since I live here but this year their defense was like the Steelers offense. It was awful.

His decline was rapid. Definitely due to his mental and not his physical.
