With the way our OL is playing and lack of running game I think Dobbs might look better in this offense.
At least he could make plays with his feet and be a Lamar light type QB.

I believe the Steelers looked at it long term and believed MR to be the long term solution, in the short term, I certainly wish we had Dobbs, at least, as the backup, Mike Tomlin might have gone to Dobbs last night simply because he is more mobile.

The referee said that you hit Brian Sipe too hard. Did you hit him too hard?
I hit him as hard as I could - Jack Lambert
1.20 - Devin Bush, ILB, Michigan
3.66 - Diontae Johnson, WR, Toledo
3.83 - Justin Layne, CB, MSU
4.122 - Benny Snell, RB, Kentucky
5.141 - Zach Gentry, TE, Michigan
6.175 - Sutton Smith, OLB, Northern Illinois
6.192 - Isaiah Buggs, DE, Alabama
6.207 - Ulysees Gilbert III, OLB, Akron
7.219 - Derwin Gray, OL, Maryland
Outside of the game last night, our O-L has been awesome at pass-pro, no?
I think MR was better than Dobbs given his issues with accuracy / picks. It would be nice to have a QB with some mobility though, especially since we have problems catching the ball.
Maybe we move Minkah to QB?![]()

A lot of Mason’s completions have been to RB’s.
We would’ve had frustration with Dobbs as well but one thing I liked about Dobbs was his aggressiveness and since of urgency. It also hurt his game at times but he pushed the all downfield.
I’m also thinking about all the 3rd and shorts and times Mason has been hit or plunked because he refuses to respect the rush.
He’s still playing like he is at OKState. He doesn’t have that type of time in the NFL
Moving Mason wasn't feasible with the way he showed growth during preseason.
Trading Dobbs was probably the mistake they made. They should had kept both QBs.

Rudolph, Dobbs, Duck, Lynch - I don't think any of them are the long-term solution to life without Ben. But I'd sure like to see someone else given a shot at this point in the season. We're going nowhere anyway. I've seen enough of Rudolph for this season.
Duck is more mobile. Duck is more decisive. Duck gets rid of the ball quicker.
Just saying....
