It's crazy that we're that high.
Our D has been so good.
I take consolation in the fact that our 4 losses are to the top 4 leaders in the Power Rankings because I keep thinking that the Steelers are a mediocre team but that they may be better than what I believe.Originally Posted by Northern_Blitz
There's probably some truth to that.
Even the dismal offensive performance last week is partly due to the strength of the Rams D.
Of the top 4, only the Pats feel like a matchup problem for us. But I'm hopeful MR will be ready by the rematch. And now we have our #1 offensive weapon, Minkah, who we didn't have week 1.
This is why I felt good even when we were 0-3. Our losses were to good teams and we had chances to win the Seattle and 49er games.
I definitely didn’t think the D would play at this level every week back then.
Of course I didn’t even count the Pats game. Throw that tape away. We are a different defense now.
I think I saw us as low as #27 when we were 1-4.
