Nah. You were always talking like Tomlin didn’t have any years left on his contract before he was extended last season.

He had a few years left on his contract before we extended him.

When a coach has 12 years or so with a team it’s not a prove it year to sign him thru 2021 with an option.

Its ironic because you have been telling us what a terrible coach Mike Tomlin is and then you turn around and say our organization is good at finding good coaches. Please stop with this notion of a "prove it deal" he has been our coach going on 13 years. Mike Tomlin would get a fortune on the open market he doesnt have to take a "prove it deal".

Exactly, nobody had even heard of this guy. Same for Bill Cowher. It's a bad argument. I'm not content with regular season trophies, they don't exist. Hey that almost sounds like a Tomlin quote!

Didn't Harbaugh win a SB with Joe Flacco??? He also spanked the Pats in the AFC Championship that year. Can any Steeler fan honestly picture Tomlin doing that? I sure can't. Don't think he'd even win a playoff game with that superstar QB.

I think it goes to show how little fans know about coaches and how they are viewed around the league.

The guys in Tampa knew about Mike, the guys in Minnesota knew about him too.

He’s won a lot of games and been to 2 SB’s.

This idea that Tomlin doesn’t know what he is doing is silly talk.

Makes people wonder if there are other reasons they want Mike Tomlin gone.

    This doesn't make sense.

He's under contract for at least two more seasons after this one (and then another as an option...but we don't know who's option).

This year might be a season where he's on notice that he might be on notice sometime in the next few years.

I think your prediction of him being fired after last season or this one will miss the mark.

Makes plenty of sense; me and other Steeler fans talk about it all the time out here. And again, please stop making up stuff about what I said. I predicted he'd be on the hot seat last year, and he is. And I'm predicting THIS will be his last year.

Regardless, we will not win another super bowl with Tomlin as our head coach. So..why delay the inevitable?
From the 2010-2018 season, (An 8 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks. Our history has been defined by what we do in the postseason; not the regular season.

My official proclamation: WE WILL NOT WIN ANOTHER SUPER BOWL WITH MIKE TOMLIN AS OUR HEAD COACH. SO WHY DELAY THE INEVITABLE?

    FIRE MIKE TOMLIN

Here's a real prediction (since that seems to be what your looking for) you can qoute me:

The Pittsburgh Steelers will not win another Super Bowl with Mike Tomlin as the head coach.

THAT....is my official prediction. So him still being the coach is delaying us from where we want to go.

So now you can run and tell that Steel Maniac said that. LOL

*** to help you get what I say correct, I'll update my signature with that to help your memory.

So you're essentially agreeing with me that there are a number of coaches out there that would make good or even great head coaches that most fans aren't familiar with.

I don't honestly care how other coaches are viewed around the league, there are so many poorly coached and managed NFL teams these days. Not to mention the constant recycling of coaches. Coaches can do a poor job with one team and when they are fired they are hired the next day by another team.

Mike Tomlin had one year of experience as a coordinator at the NFL level before he was hired as head coach, not many fans were familiar with him when he was hired. You can even think Tomlin has done a good job as head coach and still think it's time for a change, it's OK.
