It was clear Roethlisberger and the receivers weren't sharp so no problem with the number of attempts, especially after the game was out of reach. Why not try to get some rhythm going into next week? Washington has made visible progress over last season on his route running. He is deceptively fast and the only receiver that seemed to get by his man. He could become #2 before the 3rd game.

they tried running the ball early and were not successful, even on 3rd and shot a couple times.
then got down big, why would you run the ball down so many points

Ben Roethlisberger on what needs to improve from Patriots loss: "I'm only going to focus on the quarterback play, since that's what I can control. Quarterback's gotta get better.”

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

    This is not about chemistry.
If the QB misses a receiver.....you’d have a point (something that STILL happens with Washington, they need reps)

    Moncrief?
Ben hits Moncrief, repeatedly and he just does not hang on to the ball.
It is about catching the ball, not “timing”.

Can it improve? Maybe. But Ben had no trouble whatsoever hitting that dude, he just needs to catch the ball.

You ALL miss the purpose of the bad game. All part of a clever plan

A Tomlin INSTRUCTED Ben to played poorly, AND ASKED Moncrief to drop passes.
    Why?

So Ben could show leadership in owning the loss as we see above. He had 10 times the opportunity to throw a receiver under the bus......but he refrains. instilling respect lost last year

Tomlins questionable decisions throughout the game to do EXACTLY WHAT BB EXPECTED the same exact plan as last year, sealed the deal.

Cant you see this intentional loss, is for the greater good.

This also puts ABs behavior in perspective.

He learned at the feet of a master.

I know it's in jest Captain, but there is a grain of truth there. Roethlisberger's response was a clear departure from the past. He didn't even take the mild out by saying "we" have to play better.... put it totally on himself.

    Maybe a new leadership emerging?

Moncrief’s finger bothering him or does he just suck at catching the football?
