The defense did some good things this week. Much better than last week. If the offense could had played better early on who knows? The defense was on the field for almost 36 minutes. Maybe they were a bit tired at the end?

Unfortunately they failed as a team. A play here or there and they could had won.

I hate the PI review. It's a judgement call that should be left out on the field. It won't be long until teams start taking advantage of that rule. The league is going to kill itself with that type of rule.

Since his retirement, former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison has become a fixture on the sports talk television circuit. And it would appear given the opportunity, Harrison doesn’t hesitate to throw shade at his former team. Hard to blame him. Honestly, what else would any of these shows have Harrison on to talk about?

This time around, Harrison was on the Fox Sports 1 show “Undisputed” and made the case the one Super Bowl that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has won (and the one he went to and lost) were centered on a team built by his predecessor, Bill Cowher.

Tomlin inherited a team led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who already had a Super Bowl win in his young career. Tomlin got a Super Bowl win in his second year as head coach with a team almost solely made up of players already on the roster when he was hired.

As hard as it is to see a former player like Harrison disparage the Steelers, you can’t really argue with his reasoning. Tomlin rode the momentum Cowher created about as far as he could. But there is no denying that Tomlin’s track record since the Steelers’ Super Bowl loss to the Green Bay Packers after the 2010 season has been less than stellar.

But I want to pass the question off to you: Did Tomlin just ride the coattails of Cowher and fail to maintain the level of play, or is it that the rest of the league caught up?
    Boom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Captain Lemmings, you can now argue with James Harrison about it instead of me. But Harrison's words carry waaaay more weight then your's or mine.
From the 2010-2018 season, (An 8 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks. Our history has been defined by what we do in the postseason; not the regular season.

My official proclamation: WE WILL NOT WIN ANOTHER SUPER BOWL WITH MIKE TOMLIN AS OUR HEAD COACH. SO WHY DELAY THE INEVITABLE?

I've been saying it for years
Amazing how many players (past, current) announcers, etc etc have spoken out on the direction Tomlin has taken this team.

Harrison was always a no nonsense player. He's always spoke the truth whether ppl like it or not . A legendary player for us for quite some time. It's funny how fans like you are calling the guy a liar and all of a sudden hate him because he did what he had to do. He has no reason to lie about this.

Oh, and by the way, Harrison isn't close to the only one that has spoken of this.

It's been common knowledge for anyone that hasn't had their head stuck up their @ss.

biggest problem with the D today is that they were gassed from all the 3 and outs our offense had in the 1st half.. it showed up late in the game

Yeah.... Everyone is just making up stories.

Media, insiders, active players, retired players, etc...

It's all a massive coordinated conspiracy.

Some people just can't face the facts.

Who was the second gunman on the grassy knoll?

JH, is bitter that Tomlin did not let him compete for pt his last season. He has said as much, the reason why he wanted out.
JH was right and I was critical of Tomlin about it for years, through the J Jones years.

That said, “disgruntled former employee” ain’t the source of an unbiased take any more so than Browns hate on Ben.

The first coach that realized JH potential was not Cowher.

    You wanna talk “Cowhers players”?
Harrison was one of MANY Cowher players that were BETTER under Tomlin.
