Who do you think will be there when we pick in round 3?
Who do you think will be there when we pick in round 3?
2024 Mock Draft 3.0
Trade back for an extra 2nd round pick
1) Graham Barton, C/OT, Duke
2a) Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia
2b) Luke Ohorhorro, DL, Clemson
3) Kiran Amegadje, OT, Yale
4) Jayden Hicks, S, Washington St
6a) Khristian Boyd, DT, Northern Iowa
6b) Tip Reiman, TE, Illinois
I hope they have a player they need to trade back into the 2nd rd. To get. I still think 8 picks are to many.
OLB--Chase Winovich?
WR
TE-Moreau?
I do not get the love for Winovich. I think the Steelers either grab a DB, which I’m praying they don’t. Or draft a speedy WR. Pretty sure Parris Campbell comes off the board in round two but Terry McLaurin could still be there.
With Bush on board, Barron shifts to be our hybrid safety. Two positions covered in one!
3.66) Layne CB
3.83) Boykin WR
4.122) Oliver TE
5) Mack DL
6) Sills WR
6) Denmark -CB
6) Ty Johnson RB/ST
7) Wesco TE
OLB- we are contempt with Dupree, they will extend him. Plus that 9 M /year is not so bad considering the cost. Don't count out last years pick in OLA.
RB- easiest position to plug and play...Conners, Samuels, and some street FA.
S- we have enough flexibility in our Edmunds, Davis, Barron, Allen to be hybrid, SS, question will be at FS depth.
I want to keep ALL the picks, but I have a feeling that we might trade up for ROCK or Murray.
But what if we trade back #66 to gain 3 third rounders and still draft our CB, OLB, RB, TE, WR.
There is a lot of talent still projected in the 3rd and 4th for what we want!

I'd be most excited if our next pick was Chase Winovich.
Local kid. Kevin Greene hair give you special powers, right? And in watching all the plays of Bush, this kid stands out a lot as well and I have to think the Steelers who have met with him must also have noticed him a lot studying Bush. With the premium now in OLBs, we're no longer going to be able to get great OLBs later in any draft like was once possible, so I think you have to take a chance on a kid like this with his kind of hustle/effort.
I saw an interview with him a while back and he seems like he has some intangibles and really bought into Harbaugh's message of being great is about working harder than everyone else. Just seems like he loves the game and will put in the effort to succeed.
Targets seem to be RB and WR on Offense and CB or OLB on defense.

LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!
Here We Go Steelers!
I'm thinking our next three picks are DB, WR, & TE. TE hopefully in the 4th.
Im thinking if CB Long, Love, Ya-Sin, Layne fall bottom of 2 they will trade into bottom 2nd for one. If staying with their 2-3s maybe...
3.66 CB Bunting / Lonnie Johnson / Isiah Johnson
3.83 WR Isabela /Boykin/ Jennings
Then go Moreau/Oliver/Mack in 4th to kick off day 3.
