whenever anyone mentions Tomlin being fired I ask them to check how many head coaches the Steelers have had since 1969.

Him on the hot seat is a joke.

Him needing to harness prima-donnas more, is very very likely a self admitted reflective necessary evolution in his coaching philosophy. I expect him to treat players uniquely but his limits won’t stretch as far anymore.

Tomlin's going to have to miss the playoffs this coming season in order for the seat to start heating up.

Other than that, getting rid of AB and Bell should go a long ways towards Tomlin being able to regain his locker room.

I think he has to lose the team in order to be on the hot seat.

Seems like we are pretty good at removing players once they become a cancer.

Mike Mitchell, Morgan Burnett, AB, Bell.. etc etc... all moved on...

We've got a bunch of Choir boys on the team now (which I like). Shouldn't have much trouble keeping this current bunch reined in.

Clickbait. I was expecting to hear Max Starks talk about Tomlin but instead it’s some big mouth from ESPN. Very disappointing.

Here’s a startling bit of information: Veterans are treated differently than rookies. On every team. Ben is not the only veteran who gets Wednesday off. At his age, if you go back to his pee-wee football days he’s probably thrown a million passes. I’d rather he get a “maintenance” day than have his arm fall off.

    Yep.

Same was generally true for Brown and Bell.

Players shouldn't be treated equally. They should be treated fairly.

Agreed. And AB apparently being the only player to sleep off campus during training camp is beyond unfair. It’s ridiculous.

Yeah... why that was aloud is a mystery
From the 2010-2018 season, (8 years after Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks. Our history has been defined by what we do in the postseason; not the regular season.
