Ranking Artie Burns as Good/High Quality and Maurkice Pouncey as Poor tells me all that I need to know about the validity of these grades.

Im not one to sing Pouncey's praises, but there's no way in hell he should be listed in the same classification as James and Dupree. Foster is "Levels above" James and Dupree for that matter.

I learned not to take PFF seriously a long time ago.

    Pouncey is poor?

I swear these sites are so desperate for clicks they troll teams.

How good is Pouncey in pass pro? I know he's loads better blocking downfield for the run.

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

He's been a good center over the years... not elite as many would have it. He was paid elite money though (at the time of his signing). DeCastro has proven to be a level above IMO.

I know it doesn't mean much, but for some reason I keep seeing him get beat in pass pro in my mind's eye. Was he the one that got beat in that 4th and 1 pass play against the Jags?

Very possible. From what I've seen his biggest weakness is getting overpowered at the point of attack by the larger NT's. MP is more of a finesse guy who makes his living getting to the second level. The best we can hope for in other aspects from Pouncey is a "Stale mate".

Like I said previously, he's been a solid center... not elite... but definitely is a quality player.

He allowed one sack with only 2 holding penalties. That's pretty good.

I don't think Pouncey is elite, but I think he's really good. He is great in pass pro and very good blocking on the move. He doesn't have the power as a drive blocker that Dirt Dawson did, but I think he is pretty easily a top 5 center among active players.
