Players' 40 times are way overrated. Times in the 3 cone drill and shuttle runs are much more important. You need to know about change of direction abilities moreso than running in a straight line from a track stance.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
Shazier ran an unofficial 4.36 at his pro day. That's just ridiculous. That's blazing for a WR or CB, never mind a LB.
Kuechly ran a 4.58 40 at the combine.

I'd like to see both guys stick on the roster. Matakevich is slow, no doubt. But he may be the best wrap-up tackler on the team. His performance on special teams (one of the leaders in the league in ST tackles) speaks for itself. There is room for a player like Matakevich.
Gilbert, based on his speed, has a higher upside. Or he might not make it out of camp. I'd love to see him show a lot of potential and have everybody stick on the roster.
Shazier was scary fast. Sometimes I think we forget what he meant to our defense when complaining about how we fail to field good teams.
Imagine losing Troy right when he was getting ready to hit his stride?
