Team to Keep Davis at SS, Put Burnett at FS

At least it seems that's Tomlin's initial inclination (according to Tomlin). He's open to switching them later, though, if need be.

A bit of a surprise perhaps, because the buzz seemed to be that Davis would be moving to FS.

The FS is generally the guy in the defensive secondary who relays the calls to the rest of the DBs...Burnett did it well in Capers’ defense...the safeties in the Steelers D are functionally interchangeable much of the time...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+# up and wear it.

I would rather have Davis' wheels for balls in the air downfield and Burnett's tackling more up in the box. I'm sure he can communicate with the DB's just as good in the SS spot. The Mack or Buck is usually the one to flip a coverage or audible quickly before the snap anyway, no?

hopefully there will be a correction in camp. A flip flop.

Heard the PC today where they said that by the end of camp they don't know who will be lining up at SS and who will be at FS. Doesn't matter who starts the OTAs at which position, it's where they finish

James Conner will be lining up as the starting RB in training camp, but will be the backup RB when the season starts.
    Forced patriotism is an oxymoron.

A government leader proclaiming that citizens have to stand proudly for the National Anthem or else they shouldn't be in the country sounds more like a mandated decree from a totalitarian dictator like Kim Jong Un rather than the leader of the Free World.

Our ability to peacefully protest is a fundamental American right, and any attempt by our government to squash this freedom is what is truly dishonoring the liberty that our Star Spangled Banner symbolizes.
