Pouncey's twin brother is now a free agent

Although Mike has been a center with the Dolphins like his brother Maurkice, back with the Florida Gators, Maurkice was the center and Mike played next to him at guard. Ramon Foster is now 32 years old and in the last year of his deal with a cap hit of $3.59M. Cutting Foster would save $2.675M against the cap...if the twins are interested in reuniting in Burgh, allowing us to get younger and more athletic across the OL (the twins are 28.)

    Mike Pouncey out in Miami

The Dolphins will be moving on from center Mike Pouncey.

Pouncey will be released, according to multiple reports. Pouncey told Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post that the team asked him to take a pay cut, and he declined.

“I gave this city everything I had,” Pouncey said. “I’m heartbroken.”

The 28-year-old Pouncey has played his entire career with the Dolphins, who chose him in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft. He has been a starter throughout his career, including starting all 16 games last year.

The Dolphins will save about $7 million in cap space this season from getting rid of Pouncey. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent that several center-needy teams will have interest in.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Wasn't there talk of trying to draft him in 2011 to play alongside Maurkice? Do you think he'd be willing to go back to Guard for the opportunity to play with his brother and compete for a Lombardi?

This. We have almost no room (only a bit more than we need to sign draft picks). If we sign a UFA it will be at ILB or FS. Not at G.

Signing Bell to a multi-year deal could cut his 2018 cap hit essentially in half from the $14.5M franchise tag, since we normally give players a $1M base salary in the first year of a new deal (plus the pro-rated portion of his signing bonus).

kind of another situation where he may come cheap due to 1) injury, 2) money still owed by dolphins 3) play with bro, 4) been on a losing team for so long
