I understand resting the killer Bs. But if we lose, we also lose the bye week, is that right?
So if we start falling behind, do we put Ben and Bell back in?

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!
HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!
No, the only place this matters is if the Jets beat the Pats. We have the #2 seed locked in and cannot go lower thanks to the Jags laying an egg against SF. If the Pats lose and we win, we get the #1 seed. Otherwise, the game does not matter.
Oh cool, thanks, I didn't realize we were locked in.
Here we go!

Here is my priorities and I don't change the top one (I would rather lose even if the Pats lose to maintain the #1 priority. I could be talked into getting the #1 seed at the expense of the second priority. Please note my definition of major injury = not being able to play in the first Steeler playoff game or longer.):
1) Get out of this game with no major injuries to the core starters
2) Get out of this game with no major injuries to the depth
3) Get out of this game with no injuries
4) win the game

We will see how the seedings shape out after tomorrow but I can see a scenario where we may not even have to play the *'s in the conference championship round. However that scenario is most likely to happen, in my opinion, only if we stay the #2 seed.
#3 and #4 are locked (#3 is JAGS and #4 is KC).
Assuming the rats take care of their buissness at home tomorrow, they will have the #5 seed which would earn them a trip to KC in round 1. The #6 seed is muddied however. I could see the JAGS beating any of the 3 possible 6 seeds(Chargers/Bills/Titans) at home which would earn them a trip to play us at Heinz....
In this scenario the divisional round match ups are #3 Jags vs. #2 Steelers and #4 Chiefs/#5 Ravens vs. #1 *'s.
I think we would take care of the JAGS a second time around and earn a spot in the AFCCG..... This leaves us with the other game to decide our opponent. I like either the Ravens or the Chiefs chances in knocking off the *'s at home. Leaving us with either the Ravens or Chiefs back at Heinz for the right to play in SBLII....
On the other hand of all of this if we acquire the 1 seed it seems hard to believe the JAGS would beat the *'s and would make our divisional round matchup more difficult having to play the ravens or chiefs....
Yeah, it's a lazy saturday and I am extremely ancy for the match ups to start rounding into form.

I am all for resting the star players, especially Bell because of what he means to the offense. Ben, can get a little rusty after time off, however with what will be at stake I would expect them to be able to handle it like the veterans that they are.
Do we want the #1 seed? I know home field is important but it’s all about the matchups. While I would love to play the AFCCG at home I wonder if there is a matchup we want to avoid.
I have no idea who we would play it how it plays out but I’m just throwing it out there as a possibility.
I lost a bet about Najee gaining 1300 yards.
"Our head coach has failed to win a playoff game for seven years in a row. His game day strategy, culture of divas, in game decisions, clock management, player evaluation, hires, and affinity with sub par starters at RB, P, and OL are holding the Steelers back. That standard remains the standard"
