Would we have had HFA if we hadn't played mediocre and lost a few games last year we "should have" won?

It's the NFL, you are going to lose games, but last years team despite the injuries and suspensions was not even on the same planet as mediocre.

Playing down to, and too often under, mediocre and lesser teams has been a serious peeve ... also the too soft cuisions in the secondary. Hope to see little of this. Must protect Ben from and significant injuries.

Totally with you dude and a big part of that is going to have to come from the play calling as well. Tired of us coming out against big opponents with conservative game plans. Especially after watching KC a couple nights ago, a big unspoken part of how they pulled that off is the fact they let their collective nuts hang out and weren't afraid of losing.

KC didn't make any "daring" play calls...they took advantage of busted coverages and a ton of missed tackles on Kareem Hunt...

Absolutely correct, KC didn't do anything risky they just played against a front 7 that's not that good. KC was able to run to ball down their throat and Alex Smith had all day in the pocket, not to mention some breakdowns in coverage.
