The Dobbs-to-Juju rookie connection: With Ben and Brown healthy scratches, Landry still hurt, and Bryant not playing either since he hasn't practiced with the team yet, these two will likely be on the field together for the entire first half or so. They should be calling 5-to-19 aplenty this evening.

Justin Hunter: If he plays tonight (he's had some minor injury issues himself lately), it will be interesting to see if the impressive reports of his play in Latrobe translate when they move over to East Rutherford.

Terrell Watson: With Bell still not signed and Conner working his way back to action, I want to see the man Tomlin calls "Nightmare" bowl over some blueshirts like he did in 3 straight goal line carries back in Latrobe.

Knile Davis: He hasn't done much as an NFL RB since an impressive 3 game stretch filling in for an injured Jamaal Charles back in early 2014. I want to see if he is more than just a kick return specialist at this point in his career.

Ethan Cooper: He seemed like the UDFA with the best chance to make the 53 man roster. I want to see if he is good enough to consider keeping a 9th o-lineman, or if he will start his NFL career off on the practice squad.

Jerald Hawkins: Not technically his black-and-gold debut, since he did play in preseason game #1 last year, but he was hurt in that game, and was placed on I.R. shortly thereafter. Can he earn the gameday swing tackle spot?

Tyson Alualu: Never missed a game for the Jaguars, and since Heyward and Tuitt have a tendency to miss games when we overwork them, it will be good to see a dependable veteran DE option who isn't named Cam Thomas.

J.J. Watt: This one is obvious. I hope he haunts Ereck Flowers' dreams. Not every LT he faces will be a 6'9" former Army Ranger.

Coty Sensabaugh: Is he an upgrade over Will Gay in the slot? Could he be a solid backup option outside behind Burns and Cockrell?

Brian Allen: I want to see what this impressive physical specimen looks like out there to determine how far away he might be until he is able to contribute in the defensive backfield.

Mike Hilton: He's the defensive version of Eli Rogers as the undersized, competitive underdog you just can't ignore. I'm rooting for this kid to win the starting slot corner outright.

Colin Holba: He's doing his job well if we don't notice him out there.
I'd like to see if Chickillo has made any improvements too, in addition to Watt. It doesn't seem like he has, given the quiet surrounding him this camp. (Remember last year, he was the talk of camp.) In any case, I imagine those two will get a lot of time today. Hawkins is a good call to watch, and I like to see BJ Finney out there too.

Also, I want to see what color sweats, what new team gear is available this year... so I'll be looking for Senquez. (And... forgot to mention Conner. Looking forward to seeing him play today!)

Can we just get out of this game healthy? That's all I want.

Zack Mettenberger would probably give us a better chance to win this game.

Winning preseason games ranks down on the list behind rookies gaining experience, learning a system, determining who are the best combination of 53 players for your team, getting out of the stadium reasonably healthy, etc.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
