The kid is raw but he is a special talent.
more players fail than succeed so it wouldn't shock me one bit if he didn't pan out.

He is in the perfect place for a ball control offense but IMO he is the exact opposite of what Andy Reid wants from a QB.

It will be interesting to see how it unfolds.

I lost a bet about Najee gaining 1300 yards.

"Our head coach has failed to win a playoff game for seven years in a row. His game day strategy, culture of divas, in game decisions, clock management, player evaluation, hires, and affinity with sub par starters at RB, P, and OL are holding the Steelers back. That standard remains the standard"

I think Andy Reid can coach a gunslinger...if not he wouldn't have drafted him. I know you are playing the odds with this one, but he is the closest thing I have seen to Ben or Favre in years.

Coaches miss all the time but we shall see. I just think Mahomme is at his best when improvising.

Kliff Kingsbury's Texas Tech offense is surprisingly complex...the play calls were very similar to typical WCO calls...Mahommes had to relay the play in the huddle and line up his protection...he had to read defenses...he could have an Alex Smith brain with a gunslinger arm, which would work in Andy Reid's offense...

In the NFL, Kingsbury worked with Mike McCarthy and Mike Heimerdinger, two big time WCO coaches...in play calls and strategy, he combined WCO with spread offense...

There we will agree. I hope Reid doesn't try to hamstring the kid and force him to be a three step pocket guy. He's best creating with those legs, massive arm and his unreal ability to deliver strikes off balance. Either way, hes going to fun to watch.

Sanders had 1400 yards, 9TDs his first year with Denver. Then he followed that up with 1100 yards, 6TDs when they won the SB. He's been really good in Denver.
He is NOT an elite receiver....not close. He would not command Brown level dough.
He "is" good. He is no Brown. My point is I'd rather have a Sander level receiver and spend the big bucks on an Aqib level corner

and the reason Pats WR's don't have a ton of TD's is because when they get inside the 5 they don't get cute. They give it to Blount to pound it in. He had 18 TDs last year.
Blount had 18 TDs because THEY HAD NO GOOD RED ZONE TARGET.

    How do I know this?
Gronk literally has the HIGHEST TD RECEPTION PER GAME RATIO in NFL history.
With Gronk OUT they relied on the run because they have no good red zone options.

Only reason Seattle made it to multiple SB's is because a GB tight end couldn't recover an onside kick. There are so many other factors besides DB's when it comes to winning SB's or making it to a SB.
No doubt Dizz. But DBs are MORE crucial than most people know. They are more important than receivers.

Again, I just name FIVE all pro DBs among SB winning teams in the last five years. Name the position group that matches that. Zero receivers.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Lmao...Brady had 28 TD's last year. He led the league with a 67% RZ completion rate and had 20 TD's and 1 INT. Gronk only had 3TDs last year.

oh, and he only played in 12 games. No amount of caps can fix how wrong you are about your Gronk theory

Even if you could make the argument that DB's are more valuable, Cockrell wasn't the problem. Cockrell was listed as a Pro Football Focus secret superstar for his coverage skills in 2016, He ranked 15th of 117 eligible cornerbacks in yards allowed per coverage snap despite having to cover the opponents #1 receiver every week. He also only gave up 1 pass over 37 yards and only 2 TD's in 93 targets. How much more production are you going to get out of that position by using a first pick? How much more production are you going to get out of a Kirkpatrick or a Gilmore that you have to pay $60 million?

but no one else wanted to pay him so that means his numbers and production don't count.

Steelers CB Senquez Golson was carted off the field with a foot injury at training camp Sunday.
Golson has missed each of his first two seasons due to shoulder and Lisfranc injuries. The Steelers were hoping he would finally compete for a role.
