Go back an look at how Vince Williams played when Shazier was hurt last season...
People only think we're stacked at WR because they're believing the hype...if the hype were believable, someone besides Brown would have done something in the playoffs...also, we see the depth at WR because as many as five WR take snaps in a given game...that doesn't mean we're stacked, it means we run multiple WR sets regardless of who is there...
I talk worst case scenario with WRs? We saw it in the playoffs...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.
WR was our deepest position? Who? Please point them out? We have warm bodies but besides AB who else did we have available that was reliable?
Wheaton?
DHB?
Coates?
They were all hurt or dinged up enough to be ineffective.
Not saying the rest of these young guys are bums but they are young and haven't shown enough to convince me we are set at WR.
Even when healthy Coates is questionable.
I lost a bet about Najee gaining 1300 yards.
"Our head coach has failed to win a playoff game for seven years in a row. His game day strategy, culture of divas, in game decisions, clock management, player evaluation, hires, and affinity with sub par starters at RB, P, and OL are holding the Steelers back. That standard remains the standard"
I think JuJu Smith-Schuster Just Killed a guy:

This is a nice article on him: https://theringer.com/juju-smith-sch...se-e8d0256f7c1
He once broke a finger in a game on Saturday, had a plate and screw inserted into his hand on Monday, and then proceeded to rack up 8 catches for 138 yards the following Saturday (with a specialty cast on his hand). Never missed a game. We're going to love this kid!
In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:
TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher
I'm talking legit proof these guys are reliable. Bryant should be fine but who knows if he can handle the pressure once the season starts.
I think Burns, Cockrell, Gay, Davis and Mitchell are the stronger unit than any 5 WR combos you put together from last year.

Really. What changed in the off season between the Patriots game and the draft?
Bryant is still a doper who we don't know can stay straight. Coates is still the same player who regressed between year 1 and 2. DHB is a year older and always seems to be dinged. Cobi Hamilton is just a guy and classic body catcher unlikely to be anything other than a journeyman. Eli Rogers showed promise but far frm an elite player. Ayers hasn't shown anything long enough to count on.
I fail to see what you think we have. We still have no proven consistent #2. JuJu is an elite talent who could be that guy. Aside from a straight and sober Bryant, no one else on the roster is a legit #2 and I don't trust Bryant and the front office probably doesn't either.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"
That's what I mean. I think that this pick does make sense. I wish that we didn't have so many questions marks at the WR position.
I think that this pick makes way more sense that picking up (1) a career back up QB and (2) a long snapper. We ended the season last year with AB and guys that should have been on special teams or the practice squad. WR was probably necessary.
With the success we've had picking WRs late I was hoping that we'd use the early picks to build up the D. But, I guess if I trust the FO to pick good WRs late, I should probably also trust that they like the guy they picked early...right?
