Unlike others, I don't have a problem with the podium sprint. They have done much more homework on this more than we have and might really love a player - or two or three - who is available when they pick. Because they prepare, they know exactly which order they would pick these guys in, but don't want to risk losing the chance at that guy at that pick. Right or wrong, only the future can tell. But when they rush to the front then I see them taking a guy they really want.

A few years back, didn't the Vikings wait too long to get their card in? They got leapfrogged by the next team in the order, IIRC, and missed out on the player they wanted to take. I'd rather have the Steelers run to the podium than be too late and thus miss out on their desired choice.
