We have a ton of picks while Ben is under contract, if one of them is for a franchise QB to replace Ben there is nothing wrong with that IMO. Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
Using a pick on a QB isn't a wasted pick as long as it is done in the later rounds because of the weak QB class this year. But whenever we do have to move on at QB, the best way to help him is to have a stocked team around him to take the pressure off of him.
Remember the team that Ben came to when we drafted him. We want to try and emulate that when we draft the next great Steeler QB.
