Thomas played a one gap 3-4 in his career prior to Pittsburgh...he's probably much more comfortable...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Using a defense that fits your players and not forcing players into a defense is usually a good approach. I think all our DL will benefit from more one-gap. Heyward, Tuitt and McLendon all seem better suited for one gap and will do well

Glad they set it up so that Cam can play well. Too bad it doesn't fit the 11 guys who actually play.

Fans HATED him in San Diego. They were happy to see him go. I don't think he ever played very well before coming here. So, it is not the system. Perhaps he is finally motivated.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

He plays better on the nose then 5 tech. He is having a good camp BUT he had a good camp a year ago and we all saw how he played on skates all last year. Problem is we have not had another DL that has had a good camp outside of Heyward ,Tuitt n McCullers. We could use some depth here.

I have no doubt Keisel was playing at a higher level last year than any other back ups we have. Wonder if they would consider bringing himba ck for depth and spot play. His voice could not hurt in the locker room . Doubt they would but throwing it out there.

They tried that last year, and age let them down. I don't think the want to go the Aaron Smith route again.

If Keisel's arm is healthy, who would he be taking a roster spot away from? Joe Kruger? Matt Conrath? Ethan Hemer? It's like we have fabulous depth behind Heyward and Tuitt...in fact, that is likely our weakest position on the squad, depth-wise.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
