If he was a rookie who wouldn't be ready for a month then it would be a bigger deal missing camp and preseason games.. He should be ready for week 1 and if not someone else will get an opportunity to make the initial 53.

Not what you want to hear about a 2nd rd pick that hasn't shown alot justifying that pick. It's sucks cause he could be really dominant but just hasn't put it all together yet.

Should have spent a low-round pick on La'el Collins.

agreed. was worth the risk of calling his bluff about reentering the draft.

could have sold him on quick playing time and the prospect of working with a guy like munchak.

I had hopes for Adams, but I think he is just about done in pittsburgh

Out for a month. Does not sound like serious back surgery. Let's not bury a man while he's still breathing.

    Every back surgery is serious...
Unless you're one big muscle like Harrison.
    Remember Marvel Smith.

I'm not trying to bury the guy but it seems like its always something with him. Can't seem to get out of his own way

I hope like hell he comes back healthy because the depth at OT sucks. No other way around it

    Agreed.

Kind of baffling that the Steelers didn't address OT at all this offseason...none taken in the draft and the top looks in FA went to interior linemen.

Lets be real, Adam's will at best be a decent backup. It was a bust pick and it was avoidable if the Steelers scouts had looked less at his stature and more at his film...which was shoddy and inconsistent. That's ignoring character and heart for the game concerns.
    Trolls are people too.
