    Best Schools for NFL Talent

We've heard everyone talk about how great tOSU is...Oh how i hate Ohio State
Now lets hear from Tomlin himself where he thinks the talent is!!!!!

Steelers coach: Michigan State is loaded with talent

PHOENIX - Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has been a frequent visitor to Michigan State pro day in recent years.
He went in 2013, when the Steelers took running back Le'Veon Bell in the first round. He went last year, when Darqueze Dennard was a first-round pick. And he went last week to watch cornerback Trae Waynes.
"I go where the players are and, obviously, you look at what Coach (Mark) Dantonio has done over there over that time period, it's obvious that there are players there," Tomlin said. "I go to LSU every year, I go to Florida State just about every year. I've gone probably to eight out of the last 10 Ohio State pro days. I'm a pro day guy, so don't read too much into that."

Tomlin said there are plenty of benefits to attending pro day and watching prospects in person.
"I think you get what you don't see on tape," he said. "You get to smell it and feel it and be around it. You get to see them in their environment. You get to gather formal information about who and what they are. What you see on tape is very tangible, their pedigree and their capabilities, and when you step on campus you get an opportunity to go beyond that and maybe delve into what they're willing to do and how they deal with certain situations or opportunity or challenges, and I just think it better puts you in position to build a complete portfolio on each and every man."
But as much as he gets from being on camps, Tomlin said there wasn't much to glean from Bell's pro-day workout two years ago.
"I think the tape pretty much told his story," Tomlin said. "We were just eating and chatting."

And this might be a good reference for you. I don't see Michigan State anywhere on this list.

Ohio State hiring Urban Meyer was simply a brilliant move.

Agreed, will probably go down as one of the best hires in college history. And I do want to give DoS some cudos, for adding the t in front of OSU. Well done DoS...well done.

Well the list stops in 2011. I think Tomlin is talking about more recently.
Besides, Im not saying MSU is the best. I just like MSU players on the Steelers and looks like Coach does too.

The last two tOSU championship teams have been coached by men from the farthest Northeast corner of Northeastern Ohio...Tressel from Mentor and Meyer from Ashtabula. I'm so happy that he wanted to come back to Ohio and coach tOSU!
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

    Because we have one? lmao

They were rumored to be interested in Dion Simms and Darqueze Dennard I guess, but they are rumored to be interested in a lot of players every year.

Right now I see Mich st players with high NFL potential as Trae Waynes this year and Connor Cook and Shillique Calhoun next year, not exactly stacked imo. Cook could possibly be a #1 pick though, the team will live and die by him.
