Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Waynes is the #1 CB and depending on who you ask, any of the next half dozen guys could be considered the #2 CB.

If you believe that the red flags are no big deal, then maybe Peters would be next.

If you believe that his recent surgery is no big deal, then maybe Collins would be next.

If you believe that being a thin, lanky corner is no big deal, then maybe Johnson would be next.

If you believe in the importance of elite athleticism in terms of a world record in the broad jump at the Combine (not NFL Combine record...WORLD record...as in no other human being in recorded history has jumped that far), then maybe Jones would be next.

If you believe that winning conference defensive player of the year in his first year playing college football means he is just scratching the surface of his long-term potential, then maybe Rollins would be next.

With Waynes likely long gone, rather than reaching for the 2nd best CB at #22, I'd rather wait to see which of those next few guys falls to #56.

    Currently:

Trae Waynes - Elite measurable, even agility and quickness drills being less than expected he looks very agile during the games, can run with anyone

Marcus Peters- Shut down man to man corner, Joe Haden caliber player if he checks out mentally

Kevin Johnson- All he does is play well, hes aggressive, great ball skills, and phenomenal feet. Bit thin

Jalen Collins- Small sample size, good program pedigree, physically impressive.

Alex Carter- Excellent zone corner, physical...could play safety

Efo Ekpre-Olomu- Torn knee, would probably be #3 if not for that. Zone guy, very aggressive despite being a bit undersized

Josh Shaw- Impressive CB overshadowed by bizarre story. Could play 4 positions in the secondary

Quinton Rollins- Raw, playmaking CB that has a knack for finding the ball. Endless potential, will likely take some time.

PJ Williams- Overrated to start the season. Gets burned deep, great at covering slant patterns, insane vert. Possible safety

Djoun Smith- Exceptionally high character, press man to man CB from a smaller school. Technician at press coverage, ball location is very questionable. Good burst

Charles Gaines- Not refined, a WR convert. Bit small, but was pretty impressive last season, Has a knack for getting his hand on the ball

Ronald Darby- Very fast, but has to use that speed to chase down WRs from behind it seems. Tools are there, can run with anyone but gets burned way too often.

Byron Jones- Insane vert, honestly Ive only seen one game of his....and i came away unimpressed. I usually think it takes at least 3 games to get a handle on a prospect.

I see Eric rowe as a safety, but if you are playing him at CB hes probably between Rollins and PJ

@RobRang: He is only doing positional drills but CB Marcus Peters is absolutely killing workout. Fluid, great hands. Been the star today. #UWProDay
