Nobody is saying Glennon is awesome. However he is better than anything we have behind Ben now. He is young and will only get better.

Agreed SKL. BTW great call on Borland.
Trolls are people too.
Glennon has been playing with great WRs, yes. So was Josh McCown, and he looked equally mediocre. McCown also looked great the year before with great WRs in Chicago.
There is a lot more to it than just the QB and WRs, obviously. Tampa's coaching situation and offensive line certainly haven't done Glennon any favors. I would absolutely trade a 5th for him. Even a 4th. You never know what you'll get at that point in the draft - you at least know Glennon can be a competitive NFL QB.
I'll pass. Keep who we have.

I'd trade a 5th for Glennon. how many 5th round QB's are close to guaranteed back-up quality?
To be honest, I liked Glennon coming into the draft. He's not 'exciting', he's not really the type of QB that will lead a SB charge, but he's big, tall & always seemed pretty accurate. Has starting experience. We had a former starting QB play the back-up role well here for years in Charlie Batch. I see Glennon at about that level.

2024 Draft
1. Kool-Aid McKinstry CB
2. Sedrick Van Pran-Grainger OC
3. Devontez Walker WR
3. Maason Smith DT
4. Matt Goncalves OT
6. Trevin Wallace ILB
7. AJ Barner TE
And, with a pretty mediocre QB class coming out, you could get Glennon & keep him as your 'young QB' for the year if Jones shows no improvement, or if Jones shows something, remove Gradkowski & have Glennon be the back-up.
While Glennon is safe & doesn't have that "SB leading ability" (IMO), I think the opposite of Jones- much higher risk of busting, but I believe he has that "something" that, if he could get his game right, could lead to him being a pretty good QB.
