I disagree with a lot in this post.
Ben is not peyton manning and we all know that but if you watch the reads he is making they are the correct ones, the problem is young guys like wheaton and J brown are not reading the defenses therefore it looks like he is throwing errant passes. When throwing to Antonio Brown he is right on the money and that is as much Antonio as it is ben.
The defensive scheme has been inept for years now, a different mix of players and yielding the same results. There are no free blitzers coming anymore, no pressure through the A gap, the offensive schemes have neutralized the areas in which the zone blitz excelled, you must adapt defensively according to what the offenses are doing. If the scheme is predicated on having a perfect mix of players in this era of free agency and salary caps then I think you have to start looking at a change.
Is cortez allen a bad corner? The answer is yes, he is consistently getting beat, he is a terrible tackler and bad in run support. I do agree that if you get pressure on the qb his play will improve but I think that is true for any corner.
