    James C Wexell @jimwexell

Glad they found a way to keep Zumwalt. Good guy/character with potential as 3-4 ILB and 4-3 OLB.

Texans cut 2011 second-round pick Brandon Harris

Posted by Michael David Smith on August 29, 2014

Another recent Texans draft pick has been sent packing.

Cornerback Brandon Harris, a 2011 second-round draft pick, was cut by the Texans today, according to James Palmer of CSN Houston.

Bad draft picks have plagued the Texans in recent years, and Harris is a prime example: When you draft a player in the second round, you expect him to be a starter. Harris is released having never started a game in Houston.

Harris, who played his college football at the University of Miami, is a talented enough athlete that some team may decide to give him a second chance in the NFL. But his first chance, in Houston, has ended as a major disappointment.

I don't like Pryor, at all, but yeah, he would be a massive upgrade over Landry Jones.

I've watched some Eagles' preseason games and I really liked Josey.
I know HB is not a problem for the Steelers, but I would keep an eye on this guy.

If the Skins cut Seastrunk the rb out of Baylor I would be taking a long look at that young man. He wasn't a high pick 6th rounder but he has excellent speed and could help on special teams as well as 3rd down.
I thought during the draft we might take a shot at him and thought he would surely be on a NFL roster this year.

Josey or seas trunk would both be upgrades to what we currently have rounding out the RB corps

I can't believe offensive tackles like Eben Britton, Eric Winston were cut. Others like Vincent Brown, Alex Henery, Chase Minnifield, Lache Seastrunk and Eric Olsen were surprisingly cut too.

Winston, Minnifield, Seastrunk, Terrell Pryor (even though I hate him), Derek Cox, Victor Hampton, Devon Still, Sione Fua, Shayne Skov and Chase Coffman are all on my wishlist.

Unfortunately, no quality punters were released. Moorman was though...

Round 2, Pick 14 (46)- Stephon Tuitt, DE; Notre Dame
Round 3b, Pick 33 (97)- Dri Archer, RB; Kent State
Round 4, Pick 18 (118 )- Martavis Bryant, WR; Clemson
Round 5, Pick 17 (157)- Shaquille Richardson, CB; Arizona
Round 5b, Pick 33 (173)- Wesley Johnson, OT; Vanderbilt
Round 6, Pick 16 (192)- Jordan Zumwalt, OLB; UCLA
