    Minor Roster Moves

The Steelers add rookie FA Jordan Hall, a running back from Ohio State.

The Steelers have signed rookie free agent running back Jordan Hall. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Hall (5-9, 191) participated in the Steelers’ 2014 Rookie Mini-Camp as a tryout player. He saw action in 45 games at Ohio State, making 10 starts. Hall posted 3,486 all-purpose yards, which was good for 12th best all-time on the school record chart. He also posted the single-season school record with 683 kickoff return yards in 2011. Hall rushed for 1,568 yards with 14 rushing touchdowns, and he totaled 19 overall touchdowns in his collegiate career (2009-2013).

I'm guessing that Hall is too slow to stick (4.8 40), given his small stature.

No way is Jordan Hall a 4.8. A pitbull must have been chewing on his leg before he ran. While he isn't a 4.3 guy I don't remember guys catching him from behind.

You certainly watch OSU more than I do, but that is the number that was reported.

He was known as a scat/speed back coming out of HS. I think much of that was because of his size. He isn't a scat back and he isn't a power back. He is a guy with pretty good vision and solid hands. He finds holes and has enough power to get a few extra yards. He won't blow anyone away but he was productive when healthy. He isn't a blazer but he is fast enough and I would guess him closer to the 4.6 range. He certainly plays faster than a 4.8. I doubt he makes this squad but I am interested in seeing what he can do.
