The levon kirkland days are over

NFL LB'ers are getting smaller and faster. The college game is dictating to the NFL for the first time EVER. The spread offenses are coming to the NFL. The college recruiting game is combatting them with hybrid LB/Safety players. Guys who can run, hit and cover ground and space. The days of the #255 linebacker are disappearing. Yes the pass rushing #260 OLB will always have a spot in the NFL. But the surrounding complimentary LB'ers will continue to evolve into the Hybrid type players. Ryan Shazier is a perfect example. How many of us wanted Lavonte David 2 years ago. Shazier is the same type player

The days of Levon Kirkland LBs will never be over. That dude was close to 300lbs and could run down field and cover TEs. He was an athletic freak.

But to your point, sure the thumpers aren't going to be the norm in a passing league. But you still have to be able to stop the run. That was a huge problem for us last year.

And if all teams go this route, it's really gonna help our O with our big thumpers at RB.

The Levon Kirkland freakish size-athleticism combo platter will be playing DT in St. Louis, though.

Foco I am a big fan of Skov's, But it wouldn't shock me to see him go undrafted.

...on a four man defensive line may I add!
Playing Fantasy Football does not qualify you to be the in the front office or on the coaching staff of the Pittsburgh Steelers. They are professionals and you are not!

Wherever you put them, there will always be a market for big and fast.

Imagine if they drafted Khalil Mack at #2 instead of Greg Robinson.

    Their front 7 would be:

    Chris Long-Aaron Donald-Michael Brockers-Robert Quinn

    Khalil Mack-James Laurinaitis-Alec Ogletree

Dayum...that NFC West division would have been home to numerous epic defenses.
