    agreed

and mcshay said today he doesnt think any corner is worth the 15 pick.

i think they'll keep their options open

That's what I was thinking. It kind of leaves the door open for optimism when you look at it from that viewpoint.

I don't believe anything Mcshay and Kiper say. It's pathetic that ESPN identifies these losers as draft experts. They are horrible.
Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.

That's why I watch the draft on the NFL Network. Berman and Kiper annoy me.

This can be a sneaky good signing like Cotchery was for us.
    2022 NFL Mock Draft

    1. Malik Willis, QB; Liberty
    2. Daniel Faalele, OT; Minnesota

Overall...I am happy to see the Steelers sign this many free agents this offseason, pretty excited for them to start playing!

Sanders wasn't good at stretching the field and the DEFENSE didn't respect our deep ball last year. You move the safeties back a few steps and you not only open up the underneath stuff for our other WR's
Yes, why were both Brown and Cottrey never better as Steelers without Wallace to "take the top off" when Wallace backers said Brown would digress without Wallace?

but you also improve our running game as well.
Worst running game on a Steeler team since before Noll featured Walllace to take the top off.
We had dominating running game with a QB (Kordell) who was a better deep receiver than any wideout on our team.
Ben never had blazing speed in a starting wideout before Wallace and an outstanding running game before wallace began to "take the top off".

    More proof?

Irvin had Harper who never put up HUGE STATS but without Harper would Irvin really be a good?
    Yes
The year AFTER Harper left Dallas Irvin had:
    Career highs in:
    yardage 1600 plus
    catches 111
    touchdowns 10

See people this stuff sounds smart, and I get the theory.
But in truth that take the top off being what enables other players to excel is WAY overblown.

Nevertheless, Bay has talent and ain't breaking the bank so I don't hate the signing.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher
