    I would be very ok with drafting Bridgewater in the first.

    having a top talent QB sit for 2-3 yrs only to get on the field before his rookie contract expires would be an enormously expensive risk.
    Let's say he gets starting opportunity in yr 3, plays lights out. The next season you have to consider a major contract extension, based on one yr of playing. Was he a one yr wonder? or is he the real deal? that's the risky decision... it worked out for GB and they were either very lucky or knew exactly what they had, but in this day of $15-$20M /yr QBs it can also impact the team for a decade if it doesn't pan out.

    it worked for GB because it was before the new CBA... and Favre prolly played longer than expected JUST to spite the FO.
