Bills, Steelers agree to hold joint practices

The Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to hold joint practice sessions, pending league approval, during the 2014 and 2015 training camp periods.

“It’s something that I’ve done before, it’s something that I truly like, I truly believe in it,” Bills head coach Doug Marrone said Tuesday.

“We are looking for certain things and things that Coach (Mike) Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers bring to the table that would help us. I think there are things we can do that help them prepare for the season. We’ve talked about the schedule of what we’re going to do, when we practice together. I think it could be a very good working relationship for both teams.”

Buffalo will travel to Latrobe, Pa., this year with the Steelers traveling to the Bills’ summer camp at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y., in 2015.

The dates and times of the team activities are dependent on the release of the NFL preseason schedule.

This is good b/c the Bills' practice facility is in my backyard. There are a TON of Steeler fans here in Rochester so the place will be packed.

Was this a ploy to stay off of Hard Knocks?

    I wonder...

Do other teams do this? I've never heard of such a thing. Sounds like a bad practice that could lead to collusion. Anyone else think this is goofy?
