Sucks that both options at C will be coming off major leg injuries. It took DeCastro more than a season to come back from his.
In that regard it is good that Pouncey's injury came early so he has longer to heal (if there is ever a good side of being injured)

I like Velasco, but he had no future at Center in Pittsburgh. He would have been a nice guard though.

The backup is always the most popular guy in Pittsburgh. Meanwhile we complain about our best players. You don't have to agree, but it's true.
I would say (it's worse) so for any player. Achilles sucks.
I think Velasco has earned the chance to battle for the backup interior lineman position on this team.

We have had some horrific luck with the interior of the O line starting with the Embernate injury in training camp.
Basically... look at Worlids, dude was a bum but now he is an all pro.
Pounvey didn't avoid DD so it shows he is injury prone.... and he also hasn't elevated his play so he is a bum
