    Woodley's Contract?

Anyone know what the cap hit would be next year if the Steelers cut him?

Somebody will have to be cut. 41 players account for being $15 over the cap next year. And it will be more than just one current starter.

That is if they keep Ben.

    Question?
If the Steelers cut Woodley after Jun 1st, then his cap hit for 2014 would be
    $5,590,000 ???
Then in 2015 the cap hit would be the 2015 and 2016 prorated signing bonus of $5,590,000 plus $2,990,000???
But the Steelers wouldn't have to pay him his 2014 salary of $8,000,000.
So they would save $$$$ next year...
    Am i close?

I didnt ask you if they are cutting Woodley.
Troy is going no where, just like Ben isn't going any where.
$8.5 million to an OLB who can't stay healthy nor stop the run is waste.
Just as much of a waste as a CB due $7 mil who can't get an INT.
