    I disagree about Troy.
I think he could excel and extend his career by moving to FS.
Of course no one would ever know unless he actually moved there.

So now you need a FS, CB, NT, DE, OG, OT, WR, and TE.
    Gay and Allen at CB
Why do we need a WR?
How do you we know what we have in Wheaton until he gets on the field more?
I thought we had Heath Miller, why do we need a TE?
I will agree we need a Big Large run stopping NT and a quality LT.

When do we ever see Troy get beat? It is when he is playing a deep half.

Gay and Allen at CB? How is that going to help? They are both sub par players.

Why do we need another WR? Sanders is gone after this season. Jerrico Cothery has averaged 2.2 receptions a game for the past 2 1/2 years. Marcus Wheaton is still unproven. That leavers this team with Antonio Brown, Jerrico Cothery, and Marcus Wheaton next year.

    They need another WR.

Why do we need another TE? Have you seen Heath Miller lately? He is not what he once was.

Troy doesn't get beat, he takes chances.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Maybe Lake works with him to become a little more disciplined at FS.
    Troy can change a game.
    Timmons can change a game.
Ike is not a playmaker and is not worth the 7 mil he will be due next year
Neither is Woodley but i'm not sure if can be cut w/o serious cap ramifications.
I think Allen and Gay would work fine with the 10 yd cushion.
As far as a WR, i don't believe it's such a big need as you seem to think it is.
Sanders is nothing special and it would be nice to see Wheaton on the field more.
Heath isn't Heath, but is he still injured or is it over?
If it's over then he goes and yes we then need a TE.

Troy to FS is a pipe dream. He is a coming forward type of player. His is not a cover guy versus WR's one on one. Back's and TE's coming forward, yes he can handle that. Different ball game as a FS.

And you have still left the Steelers with a bunch of holes on both sides of the ball.

I'm disappointed in you Pete. You want mediocrity at both corners for the Steelers? And change Troy to a new position that goes against his strength behind them?

Maybe it's time to go outside and take a walk Pete? Clear your head? Come back at later?

    What are you talking about?
Why would our FS have to cover opposing WR's one on one?
BTW, you think Clark can cover?
Clark is not a ballhawk, Troy is.

I really have to ask ... Do you see anything that resembles a "POWER" run game from this team? How about a "DOMINANT" defense? Since we have neither of these things, why draft a QB who relies on them to be effective. Heck, you want us to draft Dalton, a QB who relies on others to make him better ... rather than vice versa.

I, for another, hope they consider Troy at FS. I know he's never really played it, but I think the position lends itself more (to an aging star like him), than the position of SS. SS is more a position predicated on physically holding up (covering guys, physically filling vs. the run). That sort of thing doesn't lend itself to an aging veteran. At FS, he's back, using his still good range and reading the QB (something that he'll have to change--he can't gamble/guess so much), and making last line of defense tackles.
