My hope is that the Steelers were able to get their injuries out of the way early. There have been a lot of major players knocked out for significant time this year all over the NFL.

    Gilbert, Jones probable for Steelers

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers will still be a little beat up when they visit the Oakland Raiders on Sunday but they should be close to full strength as far as players available for the 4:05 p.m. ET game.

Right tackle Marcus Gilbert (quadriceps) and outside linebacker Jarvis Jones (concussion) are among the injured Steelers who are listed as probable for Sunday.

Jones has practiced all week, and Gilbert practiced fully on Friday for a second day in a row.

Also listed as probable for the Oakland game are inside linebacker Lawrence Timmons (hand), left tackle Kelvin Beachum (ribs), defensive end Brett Keisel (ribs), outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley (knee), defensive end Cameron Heyward (illness), left guard Ramon Foster (thumb), wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (abdomen) and tight end Heath Miller.

Miller was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, per a decision by coach Mike Tomlin, but he has been a full participant the past two days.

Wide receiver Markus Wheaton (finger) and tight end Richard Gordon (toe) have been ruled out for Sunday.

They are the only Steelers players expected to miss the game.
