No risk except, perhaps, to the pride of those who made the decision to get rid of him.

I mean, if that OT was significantly better than what you had on your roster, why is he still on the street at this point?

On the other hand, drafting a premium LT in the first round is a different proposition altogether...
I don't TRUST that our FO will draft an OT in the first... seems like every year we are scratching our heads at Colbert saying they believe in the guys they have on the OL.

We haven't selected high enough to draft a premium left tackle in the first round. Top-rated centers or guards like Pouncey and DeCastro can fall into the mid-to-late first, but top-notch left tackles don't. We may be drafting high enough this year to get one, though.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

That's because they are bending over backwards for our franchise QB who says his linemen are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

How is that for the anti-Crash approach.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

    but Go Steelers!!!

I agree. I think we will just do "just good enough" to ensure we are out of reach of a LT that could actually solidify that part of the OL. Maddeningly frustrating.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"
