    Todd Haley, sued again
Posted by Mike Florio on October 10, 2013

Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley has been sued.

Is there an echo in here?

Yes, Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley has been sued. Again.

Earlier this week, Haley and his wife found themselves on the wrong end of a legal action arising from allegations that they reneged on a deal to buy a house and trashed the residence, which they had been renting, on their way out. Now, Haley has been sued by a man who agreed to watch the family’s dogs when they moved from Kansas City to Pittsburgh.

According to WPXI-TV, Nick Fiscante claims Haley owes $10,090. A magistrate judge ruled in Fiscante’s favor in August after Haley and his wife didn’t show up for the hearing.

The Haleys appealed the ruling, with Christine Haley arguing that Fiscante “does not have a boarding license and runs an illegal and filthy facility,” that two of the dogs “when returned were extremely aggressive and had to be given away because they were brutally attacking neighborhood dogs,” and that a contract never was in place between the Haleys and Fiscante.

The Steelers have yet to comment on Haley’s ever-expanding portfolio of off-field issues. Haley declined comment on “personal” matters during a Thursday media appearance.

What kind of people would leave their pets with what was described above? How can the Steeler FO not find all this negative attention on Haley distracting and 'not the Steeler way'?

Because if they fire Haley then they would be admitting they were wrong hiring him in the first place. Right now for the Steelers, even if they don't realize it, being right is more important than winning.

This is turning into a corporate distraction. Kindle, I agree with you 100% ... making that kind of defence doesn't speak much positive about the Haley's. How can you countersue when no one put a gun to your head and made you place your dogs there?

This team is turning into a media embarrassment.

    What next?

One embarrassment after another. If he was doing a great job as OC, it would be one thing...but he's not.

Time to cut him loose and move on. I agree with steelfin...I'd like to see what Fichtner could do...But I think we'd get Kirby Wilson instead.

I'm curious, when Ben was named in a civil suit, did you jump to the conclusion, without the benefit of reviewing all of the pleadings and discovery in the case, that he was guilty?
